Every so often, a new 'It'-colour comes around to infiltrate our wardrobes.
Sugary, Instagrammable Millennial pink had its moment, winning Pantone's 'Colour of the Year' in 2016 (under the nom de guerre of 'Rose Quartz,' but we know Millennial Pink when we see it). We enjoyed a brief flirtation with 'Gen Z Yellow' and all its punchy, bright variations. Last year, powder blue hit fashion stores and Instagram Explore pages simultaneously and we definitely weren't mad about it.
And six months into the year, we may have our first colour contender for 2019: pistachio green.
Seen on the runways of Marc Jacobs, Sally LaPointe and Jil Sander, and all over Instagram, pistachio green—a soft, muted take on pastel or mint—is set to make a splash.
Whether in head-to-toe monochrome or in eye-grabbing separates paired with neutral whites or greys, we're predicting pistachio to be everywhere this year.
